Sorry, but you are head-up-your-ass "manager " WRONG !!! You must live in a dream-world created by the frontal lobotomy you got when you decided to be a blue-vest twit. Get out of the Zone office and start watching what's really going on in your store.

You, too, are an idiot. This is not my dream job, in fact it's a horrible job, bad management, mean people, not very bright people. I live in the real world and know exactly what is going on in my store and it isn't pretty, but a union would not help.
Hope you are having fun typing your own vomit here today.

Was the Lowe's employee licensed to do electrical work. A union shop would not allow non licensed trades people to do that type of work.

Got it now maggot?

Huh?

What specifically would a union add given that products can be sold anywhere and it's not like you can divide labor between union and non union.

If you are a member of a union you give up the right to consider yourself an individual. If a union votes to go on strike and you don't want then you have to.

It replaces
"OBEY THE CORPORATION"
with
"OBEY THE UNION"

You still end up obeying...

The Township Building Codes where ever that store was, dictate and have the final word over unions and corporations on electrical work. In many cases when modifying electric in a residential or commercial setting, plans must be submitted to the zoning officer at the township building complete with a detailed plan of the modifications from a licensed electrical engineer. The plans are then considered, to see if they meet the townships building codes. If approved, for a fee a permit is issued. The work must be completed by a licensed electrician either union or not. This is the norm in most counties in America, to avoid these kind of tragic outcomes.

Exactly my thoughts. An avoidable tragedy. "Right to work" doesn't mean the right to be shocked to death.

Did the guy have a license to do this work? If not someone at Lowe's should be charged criminally if they didn't follow local codes.

There are 220 lines running all over those DCs.
