Yea Right!!! The SM scrubbed the toilets -- HIGHLY doubtful...Worked at Lowes for years, various stores, districts, states, locations, etc... Cant see it..
HRM, probably not either, they would just delicate it to some part timer for sure... Same with ASM's...
This was great. Thanks for the morning laugh :-)
Well, rare I'm sure, but true. I have no vested interest in the place, sold the last of my stock three weeks ago.

Im a part time FSA and i do a lot on a daily basis. Keeping up with the bathrooms is most important as well as running the floor machine around the store and keeping up with ems tasks. Typically it takes me 8 hours to get everything done! The full time FSA and i work well together and we are constantly finding many things to do inside and even outside of the store to keep things looking top notch

I've been FSA for 7 months now and i don't think my morale could get much lower. Definately no accountability, even the asm's create problems. Closing asm on thursday dumped a pallet of potting soil onto an already overfilled compactor, and of course when they pulled the receiver away friday it all hit the ground. I took pics before i cleared it for the new receiver n showed my SM and he just shrugged it off n said he would talk to the asm bout checking compactor lite in receiving b4 dumping. Hell u could see it heaping outside. Some one should keep an eye on the managers caws all their good for is opening doors and overrides.

Yea. I feel your pain FSA dude. Lowes is no longer s career its just a job now. They dont measure you on what you do, its on how much they like you
Im waiting on our store to roll over management wise to see if things change. Otherwise I just trudge along.

There seem to be some of you that work really hard. Ours does nothing, seems to wander round all the time staring at the ceiling, looking st product, bringing customers to you telling you what they want sitting at a computer. The hysterical part is, he comes into the lunch room early for his break and sits down at filthy tables.

That's exactly the way it is here. We really need changes in management. I been here 1 year n 3 months n i used to enjoy my job for the most part but now everyone's morale is so low i hate coming to work here.

just watched the FSA walk around looking up like he didn't know where he was...apparently here, he doesn't. Yep, this is just a job that I could lose at any minute, so don't really care. at all.

I think FSA is a very important job and I make a point to always make our FSA feel they are an intrugual part of the store, even though many others look down on him. anyone who can and is willing to clean up the $hitty mess that our customers leave in the restroom has all of my respect.
I'm the part time FSA at my store...I do A LOT of cleaning...not so much the maintenance part since they cut my hours and the full timer didn't properly train me....most of the people I owrk with seem to respect me especially the cashiers since if I'm sick or on vacation they have to do my job.....

What do ya think of the position and does your FSA do his job.
Here what I think. I worked the position for four years before I was fired last week. I got know respect. Busting my ass from end of the to other. Cleaning up every possible mess, make repairs, fixing fire code violations, building code violations, osha violations, assign task by upper management, other peoples job, tasks requested be department managers and other associates, help delivery and on top that do me job. After all that get told you are not doing your job and get sent on your way.

Fired for no reason. Right. They didn't like you. Did you gossip? C'mon tell the truth, especially to yourself, you did something that pissed off management.

Think. Then repost.

Our FSA seems to spend more time in the break room or on recievings computer looking at Yahoo! His nickname in our store is "overhead", cause that's all he is!

I took a full time FSA position a month ago. You are a glorified janitor who is the one blamed for almost anything that goes wrong. If it's not your job, it just became your job. Far too menial for me. I'll do what I can while I'm here but it won't be long till I'm down the road.

The FSA has been elevated to a much higher status these days. Ours is invaluable.

The FSA that we have is just about useless, because management has allowed them to become so.
Will clean the bathroom and break room, drive the floor machine around and then sit and talk to the young lovelies in receiving for hours on end.
Freight flow allows them all to just do as they please, and the store's maintenance, appearance and overall morale show it.
