QuickCam/Yahoo/Mac.. a word of warning

I recently purchased online the QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac to the tune of 100€.
My intention was to use it with Yahoo Messenger which it says it is compatible with.
Not true. After installing the camera I found that my MacBook running Tiger OS will only recognize the internal iSight camera and will not turn on the QuickCam.
I contacted the Logitech customer service by email and got a clear, concise and speedy reply to my problem. Following the instructions, I contacted Yahoo who suggested I download a program called BTV to test the compatibility of the camera. NOT COMPATIBLE.
I once again contacted Yahoo who were very helpful and suggested I uninstall the Messenger and do a complete new install. Did that too. Same result.
I then contacted the phone support for Logitech and was put in contact with a very curt and unhelpful agent who, after some down time while she checked, told me that as the camera was working (it does indeed work with Skype) that, in so many words, Logitech had no intention of accepting it back and that was that.
So if you, like I, have a MacBook, would like to use a external camera with IM, please be advised that the Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro will not work and you should save your money as Logitech ain't about to do anything about it!
