My wife and I went for New Year's Eve dinner. We had a 9:00pm reservation made a month in advance. At 9:45pm still waiting to be seated, I talked with another couple who had an 8:30pm reservation and had not been seated. There were over 300 people crammed into the lobby and bar waiting for tables.
Spoke to the maitre'd at 9:45pm who could offer no assistance or estimated wait time. We cancelled our reservation and rode the elevator back down the Tower with a lot of angry fomerly potential customers. We won't be back.
Four years ago, we celebrated New Year's Eve in the old Tower restaurant. Although the facilty was showing its age, the dinner and experience were excellent. The Tower has taken a giant step backwards.
