This is a global world today. Unions are killing themselves with excessive wage and benefit demands.

If they want to compete on a global basis, they must reduce their demands for wages not priced in at the global market level. In essence, it means pay cut.

Sorry but you shot yourselves in the foot.

What are those union guys thinking?

You can make dry, stale cookies and crackers anywhere in the world. There is nothing special about the having this factory in Bronx.

Union workers are not the brightest people in the world and that is why they like giving their money to the fat cats at the top. They think they are protected from loosing their jobs but time and time again they are given the heave ho. Think of the number of union jobs lost just in Bridgeport over the last 30 years, then ask yourself is it that great to belong to a union. Ask an auto or steel worker how great it is.

Game, set, match. Looks like management is taking it's ball to a different court. THAT'S what the union gets for being greedy.

STELLA D' ORO won the war.
I have a dominican neighbor in my building that work in that factory for 15 yrs. and this bum works there with a fraudalent Puertorican SS card & birth certificate. For the last 7 yrs. he has been making $24/hr. Guess what? Dominiqui the party its over...lol
So you call him a bum yet you have allowed this to go on for 7 years. I guess you do not care that he is taking money from someone who obeys the laws and is legal?

Thanks to union pressure, each Bronx employee will get a generous severance package of 12 packages of Swiss Fudge cookies!

Just another example of how greedy employers are screwing over their workers. It is time to end free trade. The Global economy is all about world domination by a few greedy corporations. The people closing the Stella Doro plant share the same mentality as the traitorous corporations that ship American jobs to China!

Once they leave they are not coming back. Maybe your union will help find you all new jobs. Goodluck!

You're right about free trade. You know you're right when the most your opponents can say is that you don't "understand." (That's the same thing they said about people who opposed the corporate bailouts. They never even tried to explain exactly how the entire economy would collapse without the bailouts.)

Yes the jobs have gone to China where there is over a billion Chinese... better get ready for a wide open playing field now...They want us all to be the same ... one world order everyone making the same wage.... everyone equal.. its a master plan by the rich like the Rothchilds... they control who gets in office and what laws are passed.
