To whom it may concern. In regards to your article that was posted, information I read is inaccurate. My family and I were camping at the same location. We were inner tubing and found her wedged between two rocks with legs sticking out of the water. We stopped because we thought it was one of our family members and realized it wasn't, we pulled her lifeless body out of the water and we tried to give her CPR and called for help. Help arrived moments later. We just thought that the family of the young woman should know the truth about how she was found. If you have any further questions contact me.
Thank You,
Fernando Rodriguez

Just a note to add that myself and family were there too and saw this, I wanted to say that many people helped to try and save jamie and to you Fernando, THANKS for being there!!you did your best... Also we should thank and commend the Police Officer that responded first, We remember him trying to save her and doing cpr and breathing on her, he did everything he could and never stopped, I never got his name but this policeman did a really great job during this terrible accident and cared for everyone there
He later walked around shook hands and thanked those of us that were there and crying and It really made us feel alot better. I guess i just wanted the family to know this too!

God Bless

What a tragedy this is, I have been camping there every year for 30 years now, the river can be dangerous when the water level is high. When I heard about Jayme my first thought was that she must have encountered rough rapids or hit the rocks hard. There are many spots in the river that I won't let my kids ride on, we have seen many accidents up there but none of them ever more serious than a broken bone. There are always lots of people around to help you if you get stuck and scream for help. My heart goes out to the family.
