What Type of Stem Cell

Your article does not state whether this was an adult stem cell or an embryonic stem cell. Maybe you should be aware that there is a BIG difference.

Adult stem cells are already highly successful at curing many maladies. They do not require anti-rejection drugs because they use the person's own tissue.

Embryonic stem cells require killing a fertilized human egg. They require anti-rejection treatments. They have a huge tendency to form tumors because they differentiate into destructive cells instead of beneficial cells.

The Pro-Abortion industry is trying to make a big business out of embryonic stem cells. The state bond is pumping billions into it but it does not look as promising as adult stem cells.

Your paper should educate the public by explaining the issues and letting us decide.

So these cells were taken from patients with Franconi anemia, and then corrected them in a lab which made them appear to be like embryonic stem cells. No embryonic stem cells were used in this process as I read this article. I applaud the research, and the cellular level breakthrough in medical knowledge. However, I don't see what this has to do with stem cells, as stated in the headline.
