On Friday morning NOV 28 at approx 1 am. I was stopped (on foot) at Draper and Nautilus. I was walking alone when a police car waiting at the corner across the street put his light on me. He instructed me to stop. He said he was stopping me because I looked like the suspect described from a rape near Draper park on Sat Nov 22. After doing my own research I learned that the crime had actually been committed the previous Tues Nov 18.

I am currently a Washington state resident, and I flew into town for Thanksgiving to visit my family. I lived in San Diego for 18 years and attended La Jolla High School. I arrived Fri Nov 21(3 days after the crime) and I am leaving Dec 1. Because the officer had told me that the crime had been committed on the Sat after I arrived, I thought it might be reasonable for them to suspect me, and so I cooperated with the investigation.

I was told that the suspect had long hair and a beard (both of which I have), and was described as a "vagrant", which I was clearly not. My mothers Jaguar which I borrowed was parked 1 block away, and I was showered with clean clothes.

After my own research I learned that the man described by the victim was in his 40s. I am 26 years old.

I was questioned and held for about 1 hour, during which time they photographed me, took a DNA swab from my cheek, and found Marijuana in my pocket. When asking about my rights, the officer replied with comments like, "I would if I were you", and "don't make this more difficult than it already is." I was given a ticket for possession of a controlled substance, then released, at which time officers chuckled. I was humiliated and embarrassed.

After my own research of the suspect described by the victim, I believe that I am a victim of descrimination, and profiling. The last time I checked, it was not illegal to have long hair and a beard.

I truly hope that whoever committed this crime is brought to justice. However, I find it disgusting that the police would use this event to capitalize. Apparently several other long haired men have been arrested for this crime, then charged with something else.

I can assure you that if i had been witness to something like this, I would have stopped it. Yet now because of my experience, I wont be walking at alone at night. One less good guy on the street to help.(In Washington, I helped a kidnapped girl, and her captors were brought to justice.)

If anyone would like to discuss this further please contact me. I will also be searching for an attorney to fight the possession ticket. If you have any interest in my case, or would like to talk, my email is [email protected]

The whole story is fabricated. She is a meth head that has siezures all the time. What else was she doing on the bike path at 4-5:00am in the morning? She lives with a bunch of meth heads on Westborns street. The whole neighborhood knows that she is lying....
