She works well with the people.

we did get one . we just got it yesterday . but we were supposed to have gotten it months ago . people from corp. came in and told us we didn't make a profit so we didn't get it . but our union went threw the books and found the money . we owe our union guys a big thank you for this because the company was not going to give it to us .
You are a bold face liar. The union didn't "go through the books and find the money". The plant earned the profit, fair and square and it was paid out per the agreement.

Interesting name, I believe she is a Buckeye fan and will probably have it all over her office.

Anyways..

She is a very nice person and a very open and very easy to approach. But she is also a smart person, if she doesn't have the answer for you right away on something you are concerned with, she will put on her best smile and get back to you on it. Do not let that smile disarm you, think about the responses that she may bring back to you that are not what you were looking for. If it is a frequently brought up question or concern, she is more than willing to debate it with you. Either way, if you are unprepared with her there is a very good chance you will get owned because she spent the time getting a response together for you and you will have to resort to debating on the fly.

Like I said, she is smart person and can be a very nice person but make sure your questions and concerns are well thought out before you go in to something that could be debatable. She is a good laugh, fun to talk to and knows how to separate work chit chat from just plain old 'hi how ya doin' talk.

Tell her that I said 'Hi and Butcher was still the better choice', she will know who I am.

its kinda crazy reading all the negative comments on this blog i feel sorry for all who have a bad image of your union(s). all i can say to those not currently serving on a committee if you think you can do better for your members then step up to the plate and go for it. then reality will set in quick it's hard times for everyone and more stressfull for those on your respective committees.here in fremont we are holding on until the storm passes. good luck to all those who need it

I agree with with your comment and thanks for the "good luck" We need it. Fremont got our work, easy for you to stay positive. You have work coming in, we have work going out. I respect my committee and blame no one but poor economy and bad decisions on corp. level. The majority of the people are still holding their heads high and doing a great job every day. All we can do is give them our best and hope for the best. It is just that things look really bad for us and the negative people need an outlet to voice their frustrations. One thing for sure, this is all not going to end any time soon. God help us all.

You can thank Brent and his bag boys. His "solidarity" with King and Gettlefinger are going to force the company to close this plant. Don't worry Brent, we know you already have a job lined up in Detroit when this is all over, but what about the rest of us?

Trever,
The Profit Sharing Agreement says that final numbers are tallied by a third party (not IAC and not UAW). Once the numbers are tallied, checks go out. Accounting statements are straightforward, and the numbers do not lie. The "union guys" did nothing to generate checks this round. What they did do was negotiate a smart agreement that will pay out profits for years to come as long as the plant makes money.

Hey sidney good luck with your work. In sheboygan you have to have at least 23 years seniority to be in the plant. We don't have much over 100 people left. There were over 700 at one time. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude but it's hard. I wish if they were going to cut our throats they would do it fast so I don't get anymore gray hairs.

Still no news on our visit by Carl Beckwith on Friday. Nobody has a clue why they were here. The union is saying they dont even no. That I don't believe. We have heard they are closing us and we have heard they were looking to see where to put a new line in. No one ever came before to look where to put new work. Has anyone from another plant heard any rumors on Strasburg?

As a Union Rep for the Strasburg facility i can say without a doubt that absolutely no information on the visit was or has been shared with us.
