Our committee posted a letter that we are on a day by day extension. They stopped negotiating on the 26th because the Hr person from IAC corp had to go to Europe/Asia for business. I personally don't think they are taking us seriously. International should have had us all the IAC walk at the same time. Maybe then they would be interested in resolving this.

Our committee posted that we are no longer on extention so I am really not understanding this why is national not forcing them to get to the table?? This is getting to be bullshit

That's what we are wondering. Michigan is now a Right To Work state. If they want to keep people in the UAW and keep those dues rolling in then they better step it up.

We have to make a stand!! We as the U.A.W!!! We should not be forced to go back to work with no contract or support!! I just hope we all have jobs tomorrow and they don't fire us all!! We all need to stand together!!!

What does this mean that we are working without a contract? Basically they can do anything they want, they don't have to pay overtime or follow any past negotiated issues. International has not been very open about their plan on this and have left us feeling very vulnerable. Does anyone know which other plants are with out a contract currently other than Mendon, Wauseon??

If our efforts to get a fair agreement that provides for jobs today and for the future are not successful at the bargaining table, we will do whatever is necessary to protect our livelihoods.
We urge everyone to maintain a state of readiness and continue to mobilize until an agreement is reached. Your power is what drives progress at the table. The union bargainers and the company feel your presence. We have come a long way together. We have more to do and we will do it!

GOD BLESS AND STAY STRONG

Negotiations will continue. Members will still earn a paycheck. All benefits, including health care and pension, will remain in effect. All terms and conditions of employment continue until there is a new agreement or the parties have reached “impasse.” (“Impasse” is a legal term;) If the company unilaterally changes terms and conditions of employment, we can file an unfair labor practice charge with the NLRB. The grievance procedure continues but arbitration may not. However, disciplinary actions can be negotiated at the bargaining table. Members have the right to participate in “concerted activity;” this includes group activities or that one person speaking for a group for “mutual aid or protection.”

am wondering if national has said anything to the committees?? i totally agree with the person who pointed out that right to work is a fear for the union and if national doesnt start to act like they are doing something for us besides having us with no contracts to work under they will lose many members to right to work. maybe its time they gave us some attention like they do the big 3 considering we can shut down the big 3!! they depend on us for parts to build .... thinkin maybe its time for everyone to start putting pressure on their national rep they did post their numbers on the union boards

The only thing workers have to bargain with is their skill or their labor. Denied the right to withhold it as a last resort, they become powerless. The strike is therefore not a breakdown of collective bargaining-it is the indispensable cornerstone of that process.

WE HAVE SOULDERS IN COUNTRYS ALL OVER THE WORLD AND SOME WILL NOT RETURN. I JUST THINK WE SHOULD AT LEAST GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO COME HOME TO.

GOD BLESS ALL OF THEM
OH AND LETS GET PRAYER AND THE PLEDGE BACK IN SCHOOLS SO WE GIVE ARE CHILDREN SOME DIRECTION. NOT TEACHERS WITH GUNS

I was wondering if all committee-people are retard as the ones at IAC Madisonville Plant. They didn't bother to tell us that we were working without a contract. When one of my co-workers found out that we were working without a contract and ask questions about it, they were pissed. They said that we ( the workers) didn't need to know that information out on the floor. What do you mean I don't need to know. What do I pay Union Dues for? For someone to tell me what I do and don't need to know. This affects my stand of living. Really stupid to say that I don't need to know. What a waste of Money? Thank God we are fixing to Vote the whole COMMITTEE out in MAY!!!!!!!!!!

I THINK YOU NOW HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE YOUR UNION DOES IN THE PERSONEL OFFICE. YOUR COVERAGE HAS BEEN DROPED AND THE UNION WILL NEED TO BE recertified BY THE PEOPLE.

our committee told us right away that we were working without a contract. but their hands are tied because national has all the power im telling you people you need to call your national rep and demand to know what is happening!!! people need to stop being scared it is your right to know why national is letting iac get away with not comming to the table and getting these contracts settled. national works for you not the other way around

Point is they got mad at the person who did find out and went and ask a question. They claim it wasn't post to be on the shop floor. This is our lives and they need start stepping up. Wish our president was like yours.

I am very thankful for you all up in Mendon and Wauseon for keeping us informed. Because the clowns that we have down here sure are not telling us anything. The President at the Madisonville plant is a really JERK!!!!!!!!!! I was told that the members tried to kick him out of the Office about about a year and half ago. But they were bot successful. Boy I wished that they had of because HE is an IDIOT.
