Like always, management treating production like peons. You hear about ConAgra, Alex Products and Sauders telling their people not to show up for work on Tuesday. Not IAC, you come to work then we will send you home in the worst winter weather to drive home. Most made it, some got stuck in town, others got stuck in the snow. Managements lack of concern is overwhelming. It just makes me want to go to work and try harder to make them happy (lmfao). That place makes me want to puke.

Franco...I choose to remain nameless so I don't get a target on MY back. But I think the nameless know the truths of the matter and one is on the defense...I personally have seeen safety violations on both sides, management and union workers. This supposedly new "safety team" seems to give the impression to us workers out on the floor, that these people who are fellow union members involved with safety, have some authority when it comes to safety. Too funny if ya ask me. It seems to be mostly committee who seem to the ever watchful eyes and "try" to have some sort of authority, lol! It don't matter if you are management or just a worker, you, we all are being watched. I think someone informs management about everything they see and hear,if you cross the line you have to walk it too! They will make sure! We will see who ends up stinking up the place after November. Maybe all of our former chairs can sit back and give us all advice on how to fuck eachother over. Keep up the controversy, the confusion and the competition! Then no one will know which way to go,LMFAO...

I hear alot of complaining about stewards.. but I can't beleive none of you are complaining about group leaders... They are the biggest but kissers, back stabers, telling on everyone. they lurk in dark places like a snake laying in wait just so they can tell on you just hoping to get YOU fired... while the are doing all the same things they are telling on you for and getting paid more money..... the stewards are sucking up our profit sharing while telling on YOU, and none of you have posted a complaint?

Profit sharing, really? The company like always looking out for their own interest. The union doing nothing but looking out for their own interest, which, lately doesn't include the employees. They have a bottom line of their own. How else would they get to go on their little excursions. It's time we, as employees, look out for our own interest.

I actually think since joel scott has taken the plant manager position, we have upgraded, we have received alot more business, excellent reviews from both our customers and corporate. He is doing 100% better than Shawn Wentz, and with the employees hard work we actually have something to bargin with when contract time comes up.. Its hard to bargin when you are the bottom of the barrel. Hopefully we will stand together and at least receive a 40 cent raise and our 401 match back...

I agree April, Joel has made a difference. I do however feel that we need to get more than one forty cent raise seeing how we all have at the least amount have given the company $14,000.00 back over all the wage freezes in contract nego. We need to remind management in next nego about how we are always told we are a flagship and first for this and that and not going to lose our jobs if we want our self respect and wages back....Oh yes 272 and 222 lines you should listen to "KOOLAID" when he tells you to start bidding out you may get stuck someplace you wouldn't want to be later...FYI remember that in order to get better union representation you need to vote on things such as committee and contracts lets clean house this coming election time with no ghosts from the past trying to get back in, lets start anew and fresh...and as always this place makes me LMFAO

Just curious did your plant qualify for profit sharing or do you know of any plants that did? In fremont we were told and reminded over the last year we were in very good shape to get it making over 90 million in sales, and then some how they pulled the rug out from under us at last minute with no numbers to explain why we didnt qualify.

I think that its great that the employees are kept in the loop about new business and what happened in some of the management meetings according to new business, at least we are now informed how we are doing, and are noticed for our hard work. Frank I know that we all would like more money and a $5 dollar raise would be awesome, but that is a dream! I would like more than a 40 cent raise an 80 cent would put production at 14.24 and that would be awesome, BUT a 401 k match is of better interest than a 80 cent raise and no match. I would like to see the scrap rate finances from each line in the meetings and how much scrap is costing per line. I think that would give some of us who scrap alot a new eye opener. also the downtime cost of not having the parts to run! You all have a great day ;)

Five dollar raise would be a miracle but lets at least see the 401k match and at the least one dollar raise...April if they went and showed each ind. scrap per line and shift people would feel picked on. They already post over the 900 lines how production rates are not met. Let's see how all this new business is going to fit and see how if we can't keep up now how we are going to get parts then...LMFAO

I agree about the scrap. I know too many reworkers that scrap without tearing down and saving good parts; to reworkers that scrap just because they don't feel like fixing a door.

If it was time to negotiate a new contract this is what I would like. 50 cent raise now and another 50 every year for the duration of the contract. All the paid holidays we gave up given back. Higher shift premiums. Cola un-frozen. Also a guarantee to hire more good looking single women.
401k match means nothing to me.

People need to remember that we have been told we are the "Flagship" "#1 plant" so we need to get paid and respected like it...with all this "new business" why shouldn't we get what we want next contract...oh yeah because we will still have people on the comittee again from the past... live in the past die in the past totally new comittee totally new contract negotiating power...intestinal fortitude...needed ...wussess not allowed...LMFAO...btw why has Smiddy come back to first when he bid third and should be displaced to third?????
