not all of them! some want to be off longer and have to come back because they have a two digit clock number, but made sure they pushed the lower ones out the door first when they could of went out first! makes a lot of sense don't it! best wishes to all who get to go back! I would love to be in your shoes and can't so thank god you can!
I did want to stay longer but the COMMITTEE pushed us out the door, and I'm sure I wouldn't make it but some of the low 8oo clock numbers could have come back earlier too !!

Not every one being called back was out of their jobs for over 30 days, so not all the call backs were by seniority.

QUOTE "Iowa City voted yes to concessions today. I guess the speech Mr Beckwith gave to us made a big impression with our members, once again this plant seems to buckle very easy to any demands made upon us. Sorry all." Well so much for Solidarity!!!!!!!

not understanding why you are saying that? not everyone is going to be out for 30 days because they had the senority to be in the plnat. remember it was temp lay off until may 30. than indefinate kicked in and the plant was blacked on may 29. no one has been there since that day. so you are wrong here. they are going by senority, and the contract.

You have call back rights to your job for 30 days no matter what kind of lay off we are in. May 29th to June 24 less than 30 days.

Can ANY of our illustrious Committee members tell me why management (salaried) people have been offered, and taken taken "buyouts". The rumor on the floor before we all got our asses handed to us was that they had been "let go", and after talking to two of the people let go, they tell me that they took a "buyout" offered by the company. On top of that, they still will be asking for concessions from us? If they have the funds to pay people off, why are they possibly going to ask for payback from us. It's time this Committee began doing a little research for us, rather than worrying about themselves, or there won't be a place for them to work either IDIOTS!!!!

Quit spreading rumors. The company is not offering buyouts to anyone. I know of 2 salary employees that were let go earlier this year and the company has paid them ZERO severance.

I think maybe you need to worry about yourself and not what is going on with management! Also, how do you know that the committee is not doing anything, are you in their back pockets? Hell, people just went back today! Here we go, rumors! I think maybe the IDIOT is YOU!!!!

OKAY! We are up and alive again. Hey dipstick calling yourself Wauseon IAC, in response to your comment, "How do you know the Committee is not doing anything?" You must be one of them, after all Jason is the one who sent an E-mail to most of the Skilled Trades people telling them to go to this web site and check it out. They ARE NOT communicating to the membership! Don't tell me to go to the meetings, cause they can't wait to get out of there and NOTHING is shared with us, so as far as the "Rumor" comment, cram it, talking to each other is the only way to get any info, even if it's not accurate. Oh well, ALL the Committee members WILL go back to work and then they will get it all straightened out (Yeah Right!!)

Fact: One of my wive's relatives worked for IAC in Detroit as an engineer and was let go in March. The company paid him no severance. He was told that any severance that was owed to him based on his years of service would be delayed until a future date. Obviously, the company doesn't have the money to pay it right now. There was certainly no "buyout". One of his buddies who was let go at the same time has the same situation so I know it wasn't just him.

If anyone else has facts please share. We need to kill the rumors.
