Although stock is down to coincide with their worst quarter, I have no doubt that they will rebound. This company has strong principles and very good leadership.
I have been around the auto Industry for 20 years and this is one of the finest companies in the industry.

has anyone else heard of a warranty company that has a lifetime powertrain warranty for $99 dollars and $53 of that $99 goes to the dealer?

You must be a part of Lithia corp... I witnessed first hand how they destroyed a thriving dealership Lithia purshased a few years ago -- Lithia should stick to buying unsucesful broken down dealerships and not get in over their head by purschasing THRIVING dealerships and running them into the ground

Spokane's addiction to gas guzzlers is about to end. Lithia, Wendle, Dave Smith and other area dealers are way behind the curve, still making most of their margins on trucks and SUVs when national security, global climate concerns and economic chaos all demand fuel efficiency. It's the American auto industry disaster in microcosm. No wonder they're feeling the heat.

No I saw this when the dealership they took over was selling 100 to 120 used cars per month and 60 to 100 new cars per month. I saw used cars drop to 40 to 60 and new cars into the 20 to 30 car range. This was 3 1/2 years ago.

I AGREE WITH CRAIG, I USED TO WORK FOR A DEALER FOR 28 YEARS THEN LITHIA TOOK OVER AND MORAL WENT DOWN THE DRAIN, 2 YEARS LATER 80% OF THE EMPLOYEES TURNED OVER. EXCESSIVLY STRONG MANAGEMENT AND OVER POWERING SALES STAFF. I DO NOT WORK THERE NOW!!!!HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MANY STORES HAVE SOLD OR CLOSED UP, ITS NOT JUST THE BAD TIMES. THIS IS MY OPINION, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT.

Was at a dealership 14yrs. In the business 23yrs.... Lithia came to Omaha. Bought 3 dealerships. The one I was at was selling 500 new and used cars a month. Everyone quit in 6 Mo. Out of 40 salesmen 34 quit. Sales went to 75 cars a mo.

On a suck scale Lithia will pull a strong 9. They will go broke. Two stores are closed. The third, a Chrysler store is getting shut down.

Lithia did the same thing here, buying a dealership with an establised name and seemingly running it into the ground. In the last 6 months, 3 long time employees have left. It's not just the economy, people genuinely hate the name. The top brass gave themselves golden parachutes awhile back, yet have failed to do anything for the employees or their moral in the last few years.

They will LIE, LIE and LIE some more. NEVER will I return to this shop, and never have I experienced such apathy when it comes to a complaint. I hear they are going out of business and I believe it. STAY away from Lithia Motors of Reno because they are so desperate for money they make up stories about needed repairs. BEWARE!!!!

There are many reasonable, ethical competitors willing to be honest when working on your car. Lithia is NOT one of them. Don't take the chance, read all of the reviews online. There are several and I WISH I had done the same thing BEFORE taking my car to them. I never would have if I read all of the negative reports online.

I hope this helps at least one person from being ripped off!!!!

I worked for a Lithia in Klamath Falls, Oregon for about a year.

Bosses were sleeping with saleswomen, taking out company cars off the lot for their personal trips, money went missing all the time, and of course, straw purchases all the time. I sold a car to a drunk guy WITHOUT a LICENSE one time...

I have worked for a Lithia taken over family owned dealership and watched it just go down the toilet. To Lithia you are just a number, the turnover rate was crazy, and the customer's just seem to hate even coming in the door.
