So is it too hard to list the 8 stores in the region?

It is if Kroger doesn't release the information.

I hope they're not planning to spend any money on the Worthington Centre Drive store. That would be a waste. It should be closed down. While the clerks, stockers, and checkers are great people, the management is horrendous. They often do not have sale items, and any meats on sale are either not out for selection or are litterally hidden. You frequently have to wait 15 minutes or more for them to "cut" another selection. The management of this store apparently opperates on the "bait and switch" policy. If the customer cannot find it they will buy something more expensive. If you complain to the manager then you are "disrespecting" him and he assumes the mantle of the injured party. This store gives Kroger a bad name.

The are tearing up the campus area/short north Kroger, took the entire Parking Lot and left 22 parking spaces for such a widely used store...... Bad thinking. I know drive 10 more minutes and go to Giant Eagle, lol, more expensive less headache at the moment.

If you are talking about the Kroger on WOrth-Galena & Park (not sure of the shopping plaza name), I must disagree with you. I've never had an issue with them not having sale items, or the other problems you refer to above. When they have been out of something (on occasion) they have let me purchase a similar item at the same price. I do agree with you on the fact that everyone working there clerks, stockers, cashiers, etc are great and very friendly.

That's exactly the store I am talking about. Clearly you have experienced the same outages that I have based on your being offered "similar" items. Just a part of the bait and switch process I described. I'm glad you are happy with their schemes since the new manager took over. As for me, after shopping at that store for more than 20 years, I have found a more professional higher quality operation at Giant Eagle. Good luck and happy shopping.

Kroger must SERIOUSLY upgrade the Chambers Road store near my Estate in Upper Arlington. The valet parking my Bentley could not find the start button, the Concierge kept my blue Beluga caviar 2 degrees from the proper temperature (34 degrees - can you imagine?), and the Sommeleir is not ASA certified!

The store should be bulldozed, and the staff summarily discharged !

Krogers did a really good job fixing up the store in Marysville....
I think they wanted to build a new store, but Marysville adnimistrators are very small-minded and anti-growth.....
They want Norman Rockwell shops downtown...

Krogers did a great job with what they had to work with.....
I wouldn't have blamed them if they had just closed the store and left town....

Kroger fell off the boat when Giant Eagle came to town. It's been swimming to save its life since, but can't catch up. Kroger was late on the free fuel and gas stations, and is too late to upgrade its stores to anything capable of competing with GE.

they need to ensure that thewy fix up the Westside store off of West Board St. The store has some large sales, it can use it. A gas station there would be nice as well. Fix the Westside store.

I went to the Market District for the first time today. I was truly impressed with the customer service and vast array of offerings. My girlfriend and I had lunch while we were there and off of their prepared food bar I had one of the best Delmonico steaks I've ever had in my life. It is a little far for me to go from Dublin to Upper Arlington, but honestly, for that kind of friendly service I would be willing to do it in a heart beat. I normally shop at the Kroger's on Hospital Drive. I'm handicapped and ride a scooter. As a result, it is almost impossible for me to shop by myself. The last time I went there my husband wasn't able to accompany me as usual so I went to the Service Desk and requested that one of their staff assist me. I was greeted with the most incredulous attitudes, I was floored. I was told that all of their staff were busy, but she would "TRY" to see if she could find someone. When I rode into Market District the greeter at the door immediately asked me if I would like assistance during my visit. If Kroger's doesn't do something about their employee attitudes, I don't care how big they make their stores it won't help them compete with a far more service oriented Giant Eagle.

"Handicapped" people think the whole world should stop and let them go by....They are, after all HANDICAPPED......They want treated "equal".....but bask in pity, and special treatment...I mean, they are after all HANDICAPPED.......And Kroger doesn't have the "proper" attitude toward HANDICAPPED......Bah....

Really? Then why is Kroger the #2 Food Retailer in the US and Giant Eagle is #20?

Topper, I don't feel anyone owes me a thing, except when I spend my hard earned cash in their store. Then I expect good customer service just like every other person that spends their money there should expect. Seems to me like you just have a very nasty attitude towards the handicapped, which is a shame. What's wrong did someone with only one leg piss in your cereal?
