Just remember: KeyBank outsourced pretty much, their WHOLE IT dept. to India.
Outsourcing has its pros and cons. In this case, I know that KeyBank brought over India resources, had their American counterparts train them and then laid off the Americans.
They would tell you: it's the cost of doing business. I know of other financial institutions which also outsource but they have committed to NOT laying off Americans but rather, use the outsourcing as a partnership to fill the void where they exist.
