Looks like the people of western ny will have to buy their weed from the mexicans again. Maybe if they let people grow for their own consumption then we wouldn't have half of the problems we see now at the boarders.

200 plant won't touch the market. Slight fluctuation in options, but one grow is not going to be missed for long. There was a market to be served, and now there still is.

Legalization will not fix corrupt cops, but it certainly would have stopped this productive and decorated officer from being arrested for a simple plant at our expense. This will not be a cheap case to close. Are these the laws that our tax dollars should focus on?

Violent and property crimes are solved far less frequently than they used to be. Not because criminals are smarter, but because cops have their hands full with easy convictions and arrests. What incentive is there to work on real crime.

A large part of the problem can be fixed by simply asking your state representatives to support reform of Marijuana laws NOW. S5187 fixes the loop in the decriminalization law from 1977 so that cops can't arrest anybody for less than 25 grams. This will save an estimated $75 million a year.

also support S2774 - an imperfect but somewhat progressive Medical Marijuana bill that has been working its way to a vote for years. Now is the time.

One cop, 200 plants? Really, who cares.$75 million dollars found money. Kind of persuasive.
