She is still his wife, even if she is in a coma. The nursing home had no right to interfere in his relationship with his wife. Bless him that he is a faithful and devoted husband and shame on the nursing home staff and the police for invading their privacy. Don't you have any real criminals in Wisconsin to prosecute?
