I would safely say right now (and bet good money on it) that if ALZA is acquired by one of the Swiss pharmaceutical corporations, then ALL employees should start updating their resumes and thinking about another line of work and/or location.

Stating the obvious. You are, and they would be, a day late and a dollar short. They should have already done that when "sale" rumors started.
