Looking to talk to someone in Ontario, Canada, preferably near the Kitchener Area. Need help, very depressed over all of this. Suffering and the doctors don't believe me. Just came out of the hospital with my kidney's almost failing, tons of bladder infections, very weak, no appetite. Loosing a lot of weight. The pain is now moving to my right side. My operation for my crohn's has been postponed due to the sling. The doc said it has to be removed before she can operate. If she doesn't I might develop cancer in my rectum. Is someone near I can talk to. Email me at [email protected] Elise

Very informative site! I am in US but there are so very many victims everywhere! Also, go to this topix forum and go to last page. There is a lady named Nonie that is in Canada. She has been through so very much and is very informed and could help you! There are several Candian women on that forum. I am so sorry that you are going thru so much because of greed! My email is [email protected] if you would like to talk. I have not been posting on topix much latly due to fussing among a couple of the women. Aside from them bickering-there are many on there that are helpful! I hope this helps! http://www.topix.com/forum/com/jnj/TTE0RAIRMP...

Amid safety precautions released by the US FDA and a long line of lawsuits faced by major mesh manufacturers, it is encouraging to hear that there are some patients who have had a successful mesh removal surgery. We could only hope the same fate to others who may be facing several corrective surgeries to treat their injuries. For those who are contemplating on getting a bladder sling or mesh device, it's best you ask your surgeon about the potential risks of mesh slings or any possible alternative options. There is comprehensive information at http://www.bladderslingrecall.us that tackles the potential hazards of pelvic slings and similar devices.

Elize, I've heard of similar stories like yours and I can understand your situation. It would help if you had someone to with you in this critical times. There are many organizations that may be of help such as http://www.prweb.com/releases/rottenstein-law...

It might be best to get a second opinion about your situation. There might be other solutions that may not require removal of the sling. If there really is a need to that, there are already a lot of doctors who are qualified and capable of doing mesh removals. Support groups in the US and other countries may be of great assistance in location these doctors. A lot these doctors may be found in California. For more information about this, you may check http://www.vaginalmeshlawsuitcenter.us/

This is truly depressing. You may want to contact support groups here in the US or the newly-formed organizations in Canada. They may assist you in many ways including recommending a doctor to address your problems with the sling. You may also want to check up sites such as http://www.transvaginalmeshclassaction.us/ for more information and even support.
