Wow, thanks for bringing this story alive again. These were truly frightening times. As much as corporate America is lambasted these days, what Johnson & Johnson did here to save its brand and improve the safety of consumer goods was amazing.

What a well written and well selected story. I vaguely remember being in second grade and having a discussion about the Tylenol scare in my class soon after the news broke. But I never had as a clear a picture of what really happened as I do now having read this story. Thanks!

Me and a co-college student remembered this event and have to do a paper on Social Responibility and Ethic's, If anyone came up to the plate knowing they would loose millions on dollars and possible customers, Johnson & Johnson will always be the Number 1 on my list of what it really means for Social Responsibility!!!
