Pharmed Group, once of South Florida's once-largest Hispanic owned businesses, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

I can't beleive how people so ignorant of every thing can dare to write so much stupidity about people they probably never heard before. The Cespedes brothers have been capable businessmen. They have give a place to work to many people in their business without any discrimination of any kind. They have contributied for many charities to benefit all the people and are very, very nice persons. To have financial problems in any business you dont have to steal anything or be a bad manager. I worked for the company for nearly 5 years as part of their management group. The DeCespedes truly gave given back to the community, hospitals, colleges, University of Miami, charitable organizations. In many ways, the employees were like one big family. They did not discriminate, they hired ALL NATIONALITIES. This situation is simply the risk of running your own business and putting all your eggs in one basket.

It is sad we hear so much about the latin run bussinessess that have ripped Medicare off to the tune of milllions upon million. The problem is Miami is More latin than it used to be and since they own so much of Dade County and contribute a very large part to of it's economy, it is only logical you read about so many lawless Latin business owners who are getting busted. Every dollar they are anyone steals from the Govt., the less there is for people who really have a need. I have a lot of Latin friends and they are all honest, hard working people. There are always those who will cheat the systen, including many who are on welfare. Congratulations on being and honest businessman and for having a great family...

All people, especially latins in Miami, should have to learn english in 24 months ot they can't stay. I lived in Mexico, and I had to learn THEIR language. Same should go for ALL Immigrants in the U.S. Period.
