This is no surprise, with the HUGE glut of office space added to the loop. It's not like there was ever a shortage to begin with; look around the loop at night and you see a lot of empty floors in office buildings. Anyone could have seen this coming.

I'm not sure how true that is. Just because lights arent on at night dosent mean the floors arent occupied. Most companies shut them off to save energy. Believe it or not, theres still a shortage of prime Grade-A office space in the Loop (very new, high tech wired, etc). Thats why there are still plans for new buildings (River Pointe for instance, whose primary tenant is slated to be William Blair)

Chicago is DUMP. Its over priced, policed and WAAAY over taxed. Combine this and the miserable winters and one must wonder why any sane person would want to be or do business here. Get out while you still can...

If I thought it was a dump, I'd leave.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
