Frm the article. RJ hasnt a clue what he is doing:(

Johnson’s transition to the boutique model has further exacerbated the company’s poor sales. Before he took over in late 2011, J.C. Penney primarily sold private-label goods. His transformation plan called for that part of the company’s business to fall to 25 percent or less of the total, meaning Levi’s jeans have been slowly replacing its Arizona denim brand. This change has concerned critics, as private labels were a profitable business with higher margins.“Private label is what made it possible to have those other brands in the store in the first place,” a supplier executive told the New York Post in early February.

He is moving to a model where profits will be less.

New management should trash RJs store within a store model and attempt to go back to what worked.

Maybe Ron Johnson is really working for macys??? His job is to destroy JCP:(

He is a grand success at this:(
