If 109 jobs are lost because Tom Wilson cooks, heaven forbid that he should also clean house!

Or maybe if the Senior Management team would take a 20% cut in their salaries and bonus payouts. That would raise the bottom line for sure. It is talent like Liddy and Wilson that ran Sears in to the ground.

The headline is wrong on this story. The news isn't that 109 are expected to lose their jobs. The news is that Allstate is Disrupting its old practices by implementing 80/20 from ITW. ITW just happens to be one of the most long-term successful companies in America - and a great example of how a company focuses on the future rather than the past. Kudos to Allstate leadership for not fearing Disruptions, and taking these kinds of actions to open employee minds for new ways of getting work done as the company repositions itself for the future.
