Busy? What do you consider busy. One, Two presses running a week.Com e on dude get a grip. Of course Sales & CSR's will go but it costs them alot more to keep a whole plant open than pay some suits.

Everyone posting is just guessing. No one really knows for sure but some things just make sense. There is no pad being installed for any press in any location. This will take time to work out but duplication will be eliminated.
Look for Sales, accounting, customer service to move first. Then plants running below capacity that could be absorbed into existing Transcon plants.
Edmonton and Concord should be safe as they are busy Plants.
Or maybe look at transcon plants that could be absorbed into existing Quad plants....we will see!!

Sounds like TC needs cash right now for some big project. I wonder what it is? Make sure they treat you fairly... http://www.stockhouse.com/News/CanadianReleas...

No one has any info, all are guessing, emails will change as of the 1st of March, but besides that no info has surfaced, so let's stop assuming and continue on with your work and stop attacking each plant, we're all in this together.

March 1st is apparently takeover day. All inventory accounted for and no ordering can go on for a week. Email is supposed to change as well but no details have been given. Fingers crossed for everyone, good luck.

Good luck to you all. I'm stuck here with Quad .... I'd be willing to give Transcon a shot. Anything has to be better then Quad.

Welcome aboard everyone. Hope this all works out for everyone. Can tell you Transcon is a good company to work for. Always been fair. Don't always agree with some of the direction. Wish they would focus more on print and less on Media but thats probably because I am old school.

Good luck to all

Thanks foreman! I have to say I am very glad to be Transcon. Quad sprouted all sorts of propaganda but never came through with anything!!
Whatever the changes are, I am glad to be part of a Canadian Company again. Good luck everyone.

I feel bad for them. Those poor guys stuck working for a USA company with no future. Joel won't think twice about using them for as long as he needs them and spit them out as soon as he's done with them. They don't stand a chance.

And you don't think transcon will.It looks like we will all know by April 15th according to the letter handed out.I'm almost sure all of the quad plants purchased will close and the work absorbed
We will soon see!!

Have faith! Some plants will likely be affected. That's part of the business. But, some will be in good position to get investment money. Some jobs will be transferred to exiting local TC plant.
That's what I think and yes I'm just guessing.

They are not that nice...don't fool yourself, TC is still in business to make money and too many people, too many idle presses, make TC a less profitable company. Yes the letter says all will be revealed by April 13.
