Yes, Quad will be here Friday to take a look at this sinking ship. You think things are bad now, just wait for DS to start running people off and moving work to other plants.

Deb is going to make things even worse. She ran off a ton of people the last time she was in charge. Now, Gary A and Gary D are letting the Lion back into the sheep pen. She has the interpersonal skills of Freddy Krueger.

Versailles is going through mangagers like used rags. In the last few months we have lost two different bindery managers (Mark and Ron)now we have Keith again, pressroom manger Jamie(now speical projects??) new press guy started a couple of weeks ago, Frank our GM was fired, and Greg our customer service manager is leaving. Stability please!

When the rats start abondoning ship, it usually means it's sinking.

My advice is to start looking for another job now. I don't mean that you need to panic, but it never hurts to keep an eye out for something interesting. Work on your resume now, instead of later. Stop wasting money now, start paying things off now. Don't wait until you are forced to do these things.

Hopefully, your plant will survive, but there will be further closings and reductions in force before Quad takes over, so start planning for the worst and hope for the best.

Why in the world would Keith put Matt in charge when they have Jeff and Danny on the floor. This makes no sense but that is howwc runs.

That's the first thing I learned when I started with the company several years ago, if it makes sense it don't happen at WC.
If you want to figure out a situation with WC just look at what wouldn't make sense and that's what will probably happen!

So, what actually gets distributed in Versailles?
What else is moved there?
D. Wypach was asked to run the place, but he declined. What is your monthly volume in tons?
I have heard different counts.
Just wondering?

We run catalogs and books. Long run catalogs such as MSC, McMaster Carr and Home Depot. Education work, kiddie books, dictionary....
Don't know the answer to volumne.
We have a good plant that has been under bad management for the past couple of years. We need a strong leader that has good common sense and one that knows how to treat their employees.

Also i think versailles plant needs to get rid of all the employees that do nothing but complain and run to hr all the time and do no work.

Pretty apt description for many Quebecor/WC plants I would say...

We just lost one of largets accounts, the McMaster Car catalog. We have printed this for years and lost it because of the changes and concerns of our plants future.
