And I'm guessing you don't? You just come right into the office and start working and don't talk to anyone? FU!

office lol

Our machines do not stop for shift change, apparently you guys can't crossover and work. You must be in Midland ,one of us will be closed by the end of the year.

Doesn't matter if you are angry, be a professional, spewing hatred on a forum makes you look like a 12 year old.

The oncoming shift should be at their work stations 5 minutes prior to starting time. If this were happening there would be no reason to stop a machine during shift change. The current employee can transfer any information needed during that time.
You must be one to arrive at their work station a couple minutes late every day and feel cheated out on whatever ritual that takes place at shift change.
It's not rocket science RA, there is no reason whatsoever to shut a maching down for shift change.

Why would you want to have the extra shut down, and start up waste??? Seems like RA is the odd man out.

Right on Mr Kool Aid!

Sutting down 10 machines per shift for 15 minutes per day = 450 minutes downtime everyday. Multiply by 365 days per year = 164,250 minutes a year which equals 2737.5 hours of downtime each year.

That equals around 1 additional full time and 1 additional part time employee per year. And let us not forget the wasted material which happens during make ready.

So you see RA, shutting down a machine so you can get the scoop on who is doing who, the score of last nights ballgame and what you are doing the next day is not worth the loss. If you need this additional time just to talk about what is running maybe you should not be operating that machine.

I have never heard of shutting down a machine or press for shift change. We get on the floor 10-15 minutes early and get our pass down then the operator getting off still has time to get cleaned up and changed before he gets off. It has been done that way in every plant I have been in.

I really wish people like Really Angry would just walk out the door and not come back. The kind of crap that people like him spew on here makes us all look like idiots. Thanks for the sensible comments from everyone, hopefully some of that commone sense can penetrate his thick skull.

Really shouldn't be stressing and work to much everything happens for a reason. One day it will be gone like the dinosaurs. All that negative energy is just a waste of life time. Everything you do to day you are trading a day of your life for. Spend it wisely - Rev
