Infy is a good company, but the middle level managers are not able to sustain the potential of the individual. Infy has skewed up policies of IPI/VCPI/CPI and overall banding system.. This way the HR policies are really skewed up

Yes what vivek has quoted is true, company may be good but pay structure has to be changed since toom much of variable component means the company wants the employee to bear considerable amount of risk

I agree with Raju.

I wish more people write info which will help prospective programmers know the real picture. Not that it is bad, but know the real pic.

For example, one of my friend left Infosys, some time back. I asked him, Why ?

His answer was: Infosys is not life. I have not seen a proper weekend for the last four years nor a good vacation. Maybe it is an extreme case.

Funny isn't it how things are distorted?

It is all over the place that Infy started with 10000 Rs. capital. How can someone start a firm with 10000 capital ?

A computer and table, UPS, etc. costed me Rs. 80,000 in 1991. Capital was 20%, Rs.16,000/-.

I have cleared my 3 rounds of interviews at infosys. Then have said that they would send formal offer letter after background check. I would like to know what do they do during these checks? And how much time does it really take.
