Charged With Child Porn Possession, Married Gay Man Jumps in Front of Subway

One the first gay men to tie the knot on top of the Empire State Building threw himself in front of a New York City subway train on Tuesday soon after he was charged with possession of child pornography, the New York Daily News reports.

While I do not think this should be used to infer that gays are pedophiles which is clearly untrue, it does speak to the fantasy gays put out that they are always perfect model people...

Not one Gay or Lesbian person on these threads has EVER stated they are perfect and above reproach......there are good and bad folks in every walk of life........and typically it is the anti-gay folks that keep assaulting Gays and Lesbians, especially Gay men with regards to Child Molestation........and frankly, that's a lie!!!!

In my opinion......regardless of sexual orientation.....HARM A CHILD......face sever consequences regardless of the gender of the child!!!

More crap from people who have pea brains and use incidents to infer a trend or correlation.

Of course there are gay men who are pedophiles just as straight men can be pedophiles. But there is no scientific evidence showing a higher level of pedophilia among openly gay men. Furthermore, if the subject of the attraction is pre-pubescent, pedophilia may be unrelated to sexual orientation - typically the offender is attracted to children of either sex.

Technically speaking yes, but remember that a Pedophile does not necessarily have an adult sexual orientation......they are by definition attracted to children under puberty.......and if the child is over the age of puberty......they are typically not a Pedophile, but a Hebephile.

Pedophilia and hebephilia are diagnostic labels that refer to psychological attractions. Not all pedophiles and hebephiles actually molest children; an adult can be attracted to children or adolescents without ever actually engaging in sexual contact with them.

Child molestation and child sexual abuse refer to actions, and don't imply a particular psychological makeup or motive on the part of the perpetrator.

I don't think anyone denies there are good and bad people regardless of sexual orientation. I don't think anyone should have be model citizens to be worthy of equal/civil/constitutional human rights, the right to marry, not be fired from their job or denied service/benefits/protection, etc. simply because they are gay. Some of the most evil people in the world have the right to marry the opposite gender, but the right to marry the person one loves has been and still is denied to a majority of gays and lesbians in most of the United States and the world. The man was charged with child porn according to the title, he wasn't convicted. I believe in innocent until proven guilty. I don't consider fleeing or committing suicide an admission of guilt. Some people in those situations may not want to live with the shame of the publicity of their arrest or the chance of being convicted when they are indeed innocent.
