This is a horrible idea. In California they already let prisoners out to play a round of golf. If the death penalty is repealed, next thing you know they'll have murderers down at the mall trying on clothes at Old Navy. California, keep your murderers on Death Row where they belong, even if you don't actually kill them.

Most of the same groups and people that are opposed to the death penalty are also against Life Without Parole. It is just one step at a time for them.
