If they were being true to the business they would be building refineries. Not holding what they have. The tell tail to all of this is look at the repairs for each refinery. Not much our of the ordinary or if any I bet. It is all a farce. The dereguation and zoining was a dream of oil companies to charge more for gas when they though most could pay for the increase. I believe all elected officials should pay for thier on fuel costs for 1 year Gas Elect, Deisel or gas what ever the limo is using and where ever they live. These charges should be tacked on to travel and Hotel expences as well. When they scream something would be done. I bet most of the men to their shame have not been in a grovery in years and or paid cash out of pocket for fuel Oh ya for their boats as well, larger Lux taxes on their fuels and the benefit to the local fisherman. How about that for fair change. These changes need to go for CEO's of Oil companies too. They all need a class a week in ethics and fair business practice

The House has the right idea taking away the tax breaks from major oil companies. The Senate should follow suit. Bush threatening to veto any such bill is a joke. The American people are struggling to make ends meet and he is siding with the oil companies who are making billions of dollars. The House and Senate could override a veto, I say they press on.

Every american should get a list of all in the Senate that vote against this bill and post it on there dash boards. This is an outrage!

What does Congress do again? Seems like all they do is talk and bring people in front of them to put them on T.V and to show how insignificant they are.

Big Oil is not going to take the blame for rising oil prices. They're not at fault that there are not enough refining companies or that the refinery's equipment are outdated or poorly maintained. It's not their fault that those in government who have Big Oil connections are protecting their interests. Their hearing the american public but they're not listening.

I am so surprised that these highly compensated Oil Exec would think that the American public would buy thier lies. And George Bush is in denial as well, let him threatend a VETO. If the American people rise up like they did in the Immigration issues, the Senate will over ride that VETO because the election is around the corner.

No more WELFARE for the Oil companies. We created workfare for the american public who is homeless and starving why subsidize the rich.
