Black-owned Banks Struggling to Keep Doors Open

It only proves what I've said all along. Kneegrows are always telling us about what happened in Egypt 5,000 years ago, but cannot open an account at a black bank! They,(kneegrows) can ask stupid assed questions dealing with dating someone other than black, but where the rubber meets the road.....NO ANSWERS! Where are these people that cling to their blackness? Most of them are always whining about, "what we need to do", but where are THEY putting their money at? Yes, I can snugly say, I've had an account at Citizens Trust Bank, since 1963, and have now opened an account at Capitol City Bank, right here in Atlanta, so there! This is the reason I get on young black people's case, they love to spout BS, but when the deal goes down, they ain't about nothing but talk!

Worrying about who white and black men date, ain't putting a damned penny into a black bank! Who's light, and who's dark, will NOT open up an account! Getting pissed at Imus, will not open up a saving account, so tell me, between asking stupid questions on this board, when are YOU going to get serious for a moment, and PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS? If there were any black banks in the
city of Minneapolis, Minnesota or in
any city in Minnesota then I would most
definitely put my $$$$$$DOUGHBOY in it.
Not all of it...but some of it, and I
would still be able to speak my mind
about any topic here at topix whether it
be ancient Egypt or otherwise. There is
something definitely wrong here with the
continued use of the term kneegrows...
it is very degrading from jumpstreet
and some folk have the audacity to
complain about what others say and think
in various threads. There is going to
be plenty of disagreement between a lot
of black folks who partake in these daily
discussions, but most of us, or at least
I, try to bring out the POSITIVE in all
peoples, and I don't see anything at all
POSITIVE in the continual degradation of
black folks/AA's by referring to them as
such. I attended college in Atlanta and
resided in the chocolate city for an X
number of years as well as having many
family members and friends there. I know
a great majority of the black leaders in
the city...to include the political
black giants. What my point here is, is
that most of the leaders here, and those
who wish to lead others do not use this
kind of lingo on their own...now I'm
specifically referring to the intelligent
black folks in Atlanta. Anyway, people
here at topix will continue to express
themselves/emotions as they have been
doing all along and I doubt very seriously
if they are going to change just because
others are not jumping on your bandwagon
of thought. Anyway, it is usually not the
fault on any number of black folk as to
why banks in general, and black banks in
particular are going under. The state as
well as federal agencies also play a
major role here.
Again...if there were black banking
institutions in the twin-cities then some
of my tenders would be in their vaults.
It seem easy enough to just outright
use the term negroes or the other term
if you are bold enough... By the way,
what is your real name other than what
you use here at topix...I am coming to
visit soon and would like to see YOU in
person. Say, have you seen Ezra Johnson
or either Edwin Moses in your area in
recent memory. I taught Tyrone Brooks a
many things during my tour... my other
friend, Dr. Hamilton E. Holmes, was the
first black man to intergrate the U of
Georgia in Athens back in the days. Am
really looking forward to another tour...

What have you done to improve anything?

Loans and services are how these banks make money and if people default on the loans the bank makes no money. How many people that can pay back the loans use the banks? How many large construction projects are financed by these banks?

Who anyone loves is none of your business.

There's a mess of mergers involving banks. MBNA, one of the biggest, recently merged with Bank of America.

In addition, over the years there have been failures in the banking community. Continental Bank of Chgo, again one of the biggest, went belly up.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame Blacks--that is unless I had a self hate problem.

It has nothing to do with so-called salf hate. "Self hate is what KNEEGROWS tend to label others when they DISAGREE with them!

Now on to the problem. First of all, do you have an account in a black bank, if not why? I'm not one of those that are always going around crying "what we need to do", I DO!

A "Black Bank" is started for "Black People" in the community, so what's wrong with that? Talking all of that smack, does not equate to you putting YOUR money in that black bank.

I did not realize there was even such a thing as black or white banks.Are there separate Credit Unions for the blacks and whites too? I suspect it is perfectly legal to advertise a bank as a Black Bank, is it legal to advertise a bank as a White Bank?
