NamesBeyond is showing itself to be incapable of handling the transfer properly... how did anyone at ICANN approve them to be the gaining registrar?
First of all, the transfer of WHOIS and registrant info has been tainted with lots of spurious data in the WHOIS records showing up at NamesBeyond.
Take, for instance, the phone number field. This should be a -text- field, but NamesBeyond staff (most likely in India) have designated the field as -numeric- but did not leave enough digits for U.S. phone numbers. Thus, the phone number gets 'rounded' up or down (as a numeric field). This is one glaring example of the incompetence of their programming staff to handle the task. The phone number should have been a 'text' field of 12-15 characters in length, not a float/integer.
As an aside, why hasn't ICANN (after 10 years) standardized the data fields/formats for WHOIS? Shouldn't this be a 'non-issue' by now, and a basic requirement for accreditation of registrars?
Clearly, the person(s) at ICANN who approved NamesBeyond to be selected for the BlueGravity bulk transfers did -not- do even a cursory check of NamesBeyond.com ability to handle this cleanly.
Furthermore, ICANN never contacted the registrants to allow us to transfer our domains to a registrar of OUR choosing... they selected a third rate registrar, based in India, with a shady history.
