I have Win98, but your BIOS may be the same. F1 during boot, then Start Options. The top line says (dot) Startup Sequence. THIS IS NOT THE PAGE HEADER! It has further options when you hit Enter.
Thank you wery much, even now at begining of 2010 year with this post you help me becouse I have to give new life for this computer so I need this information.

I got the same error so I tried this, but it did not work. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Xubuntu is giving an error regarding that there is potential for damage of the eeprom and is aborting install. I have upgraded to beyond 256 megs ram and attempting installing regular Ubuntu. I have found that the O.S. runs fine directly off the CD, it is installing directly onto the hard drive that seems to be the issue (once you've found the boot sequence switch-- my machines are not recognizing the CD rom directly in the settings, but when hitting F9 (revert to default), CD ROM sets in as first boot attempt.
I have 4 IBM 300GL machines I am converting to Ubuntu.
Is anyone aware of any Nintendo emulators that work with Ubuntu?
