One of the big retailers in Kentucky said they have been notified that they will not be getting Hostess deliveries starting July. Anybody else hearing that?

Who knows what is rumor or fact anymore. I think there just playing with us now and will continue to do so until it's over.

What is Morton 113?

Ps I was told by Houchens (iga), a large grocer in Kentucky and Tennessee that we will not be delivering to their stores after June 30. This wasn't a rumor, or hear say. It was from the store
Manager asking me what I was gonna do for a job.

Motion 1113 was approved by the whiteplains new york judge meaning thatHostess can do away with our labor contracts at any time under bankruptcy protection. I have not saw any changes yet, but we no longer have a pension. I wonder if I am going to open my check one day and see that I am being paid minimum wage. As far as raises go, thats out of the question. And our Union, theyre paying into a superpac, trying to get Obama elected. Fact is, our Union has become a corporation in itself. They have done a poor job of keeping us informed. Here in Knoxville, we make $13.70 an hour. I am barely getting by. I am not sure what this means, but these horrible hours and pay, I feel like telling them they can have it.

We are hearing that there is supposed to be a new contract to look at soon. Apparently with some pay decreases. Anybody else heard this?

I am sure that is true. They won't outright fire us because they are responsible for paying a portion of our unemployment. I'm not sure, but I believe Obamacare will allow them to greatly reduce our insurance benefits. They will probably offer us some WAL MART HEALTHCARE. And if you read what they were originally offering, chances are, that is what they are going to offer again. Because the Union lost our arguement and hostess won that motion I mentioned earlier. Motion 1113 for the teamsters has been rejected. But, when we all got letters saying we could lose our jobs, that was just after it had been approved. So now I think maybe the judge retracted that or I got some misinformation. Or maybe he allowed it for Ibtcm but not the teamsters? IDK.

it talks a little about it on the bctgm website under hostess bankruptcy. Judge drain gave them the power to abrogate the contracts. Knox employees just got another notice that they may lose their jobs. So we shall see.

hello friends ever since i left merita bakeries and joined flowersfoods in 2007 , my life has been much better. i worked 12 years for merita and i can personally say it was the best decision i ever made. So stop sitting around thinking the end of the world is near , and get out there and get on board with Flowersfoods. The union and Hostess have let you down time and time again. Leave before your time runs out.

We all got the 45 day letter. We are of the opinion it is a scare tactic so when they cut our pay and up the insurance premiums we will all agree, at least we have a job. I just wish they would close already. From what we hear the teamsters will lose nothing. Our local 334 has sold us down the river. They will not fight for us like they used to, they let the company do what they want. I don't know how many of you know this but our union owns 10% of the business. When we were in bankruptcy before the company gave them the 10%. All of us workers gave soooo much back the last time. It's been 6+ yrs since we have had a raise. Union dues went up and our insurance did.

Technically it is not a scare tactic. They have had this motion approved and they are simply trying to decide the best way to screw us. If we get fired, they are responsible for a large portion of our unemployment, and if so they will show up to fight us at the unemployment hearing. Four union reps just got fired at the knoxville,tn plant, I don't think that is coincidental.
