It is not the unions fault that the company has folded. They needed an excuse. Hostess sent my job overseas. It is Rayburn's fault and now he is going to ask the court for 1.75 in a bonus. If you want to blame anyone blame Rayburn. I worked for that company for over 30 years and my husband worked for the company for 38 years. You would have to work there for that amount of time to realize what has been happening to this company. I was not union, my husband was union. Rayburn is EVIL!!!!!!!!!! He has a dollar sign where his heart should be!!!!!!!!!!

We both started with IBC in 1970's so if you have a brain figure it out. It is simple math. My husband IS retired as of last year!!!!! We are both in our 60's. I was not ready to retire...liked working, but they sent all office jobs overseas.(you dumba--) Yea Obama won and Romney is a cheat and a liar!!!!!!!!!!

I work in a non union company. I get good pay, good benefits and a
pay check every week. If you don't like what the company is offering you are free to get another job.

I woud like to have a postition where I could vote myself a 300 percent pay increase while the company I work for ended up over a BILLION dollars in debt last year. This is not the unions fault, it is poor management.

Well let's see now. You have to pay for health insurance and insurance for your company. Then you have to pay a tax at the end of the year because you are self employed. You have your equipment you have to buy if you are self employed.(of course they are deducted when you file taxes.) Next you have to have some kind of retirement plan unless you are going to work until you die. Now the big question: Do you file taxes for self employment????? I hope you make good monies doing this and if you do good for you!!!

My dad worked for IBC. Retired 16 years ago. Seen this train wreck happening for years. People are quick to complain about unions. But who would know better than the people that work there.

It is the company's fault -Rayburn only came in to close down the bakery - All those employees that got huge raises last year - left early summer when they heard we were going to be liquadated - Can you belive that the company pays a million dollars a month to a contract that we had with ACCENTURE?- where we were supposed to save the company by shipping office work overseas (when in reality it cost more). They actually had management fly to Manilia to oversee their work (Actually it was vacation and party time from what I heard - drink-eat-fly all on the company over and over again and taking a note keeper with them.

I did blame the union early on - but it was clear that Rayburn did not want to hear anything they had to say - except "along with 8% cut we are not going to gurantee 40 hours" more like 32 hours.

Its because you don't know fifth grade math. If Rayburn knew you guys would screw yourselves out of a job he'd a done it sooner. He deserves the big bucks. He can now take this Archaic, Union infested overpaid labor pool, and sell it for much more without teh weight of the Union dragging along. Much more attractive to sell this off w/o unions involved. He's a genius and deserves every penny. If you strike you can not get Unemployment. What was the strije going to achieve?. Its a self inflicted wound Rayburn must of been laughing all night!:)

I really feel sorry that you have that kind of thought process. With all the people out of work, to say Rayburn deserves every penny??? You apparently do not believe in God or the ten commandments. 8,thou shall not lie and he did when he said there were no buyers and there were several) I will pray for you but I really hope you find the Good Lord on your own. The good Lord will be sad for all these people out of work.

This is only the beginning... same muttonheads who stood behind Obama being re-elected. All these idiot union folks who feed the left loons and the rest of our increasing nanny-state culture, which appears to be tipping to the majority in this country, are going to have to experience real pain before they wise-up and smell the roses. Most of us who also have to feed our families do not get pension plans or even close to the benefits union people come to expect what is fair. Time to grow up and change the bubble you've been living in. Unfortuantely you are all just a piece of the bigger puzzle in this country that needs to change.

You should know what you are talking about before speaking. My husband's pension is safe, along with ALL the money we have saved through the years. House is paid for in 10 years (big payments) but we own our house. Two Xterra 4X4 (2010 & 2012) both paid for. No debt. You live on what you make, so Brian how about paying those self employment taxes????? And how much debt do you have. See some of us plan for the future instead of running our mouths about something they know nothing about. Some people know how to handle their finances. Do you?????????? Another question could you work any one place for 38 years???? Doubt it!!!!!
