Of course they are going brook any co. who has so many different trucks going to the same place is insane plus product not available across the country and only one brand name in cakes not the multitude they have now change to one package name such as Hostess would save millions but that would be to easy

not to mention the money they spent to change the ICONIC Wonderbread package that everyone had grown up with (did we really need to do that when we came out of the last bankruptcy?) We can go on and on about their mismanagement, employees can name them off like a roll call. Funny that corporate pulls the "price of sugar and unions" as their reason, but every friggen employee knows the truth.

Over the years I watched as Wonder-Hostess was being managed right down the toilet. As Interstate Baking years ago we were the strongest Baking Company in Ohio. Then we were sold to ITT and they came in and started the downhill spiral. Next Ralston Purina came in and things got even worse. Then they sold us to IBC who was smaller than us. Poor management all the way through. We are now a weak 4th on the market. Beaten down by local bakeries. Being lead by people who couldn't sell a loaf of bread to their mom. Pricing that's always the highest. Let them spend a day in a bread truck when it's 10 below zero or 110 in the shade. Most sales reps love doing what they do. 10-12 hr days. How many of them would do this. No job in this business should be held by someone without route experience. But HEY, they feel entitled. They have something that makes them better. Well, we all see just how good they are at their job. Leaders, HUH! Lead us right down to nothing.

As a former (thank god!) IBC employee, this whole mess doesn't surprise me in the least. Absolutely no doubt in my mind it's because of poor management, when I think of some of the idiots that I worked for.

ONE thing that wonder/hostess never had was smart management. They never heard of the word innovation which is why they are where they are today. Still selling white bread which these days no one buys With there distribution infrastructure they could have done so much through new products even other than bread. It's too little too late. The business model they have is so outdated.

people still buy white bread Mark, just not yours. The over priced bag of balloons is well past the point of inflation.

I can tell you from a managers perception the whole system is rotten to the core, too many egos, too many out dated concepts, bakery and operations running the company in stead of sales, finally i understand how many RSRs are frustrated with their DSMs but coming from the outside the upper managers just continue to dump more work onto this level to the point that NO customer interaction takes place anymore....It's a shame

They wanted this contract, hell im making what i made years ago!The judge in this new bankruptcy scam has to see there trying to pull a fast one.Everyone is at the same conclusion we aint giving back no more so just close the doors. The equipment we drive is old junk that should be in the junkyard.Uncle brian is no leader just like jung.alvarez ,and chuckie sullivan.WE still do the best job possible under these barbaric conditions.Lets face it nothing but a union busting move !Stay strong and together there aint no more we can give beleive me they would have you make minimum wage if they could while they pull in millions and bonuses for all there buddies. This outfit should be together but its war on there own workers. They want you to strike dont fall for that get payed keep working doing the best job you can!I GAVE BACK ENOUGH YOU BLEW ALL THAT MONEY sorry no more givebacks try a new buisness plan if you want one ask any worker im sure they could come up with one that works unlike the stupidity the braintrust or brain dead came up with.

Where'e the pension--- I totally agree with you. I have been with this company 18 years. They are out to bust union employees. They have been working on this plan for a while to bust us up. A supervisor told me this that is no longer with the company. We as union members have to stand up and be strong against this company. A union is only as strong as it's members make it, so let's make it STRONG!!!! Still paying to work for this company from last bankruptcy. Not taking NO MORE CUTS!!!! We took ours, they did not, can't feel sorry for them.

From what I've heard, this judge is NOT union friendly. Bend over and grab your ankles! And don't believe the B.S. that the company tries to feed us about how things will be good once we get through this and how wonderful it will be to have a 401k to go along with the pension I've already earned. We don't call our MUGM the Smiling Assassin for nothing!

Yes, we voted to authorize the negotiating commitee to stike if the new contract is shoved down the unions throats. that's where the info is coming from
