Nice to know the heads of hostess are doing something! I have been following the bankruptcy, researching every motion, even researching the judge and posting everything here on hostess topix. Well, apparently I am too smart and figured out too much, because my threads and comments have been deleted. It is probably because I have been putting it out there, saying whats really going on, beginning with the filing and grant of motion 1113.

Fact is, most corporations in america are shooting for the WALMART business model. Always low wages, always. minimum wage. no benefits.
Hostess...the new wally!

Can we fire our Union representation and form our own? I have posted far more information on the Hostess Bankruptcy than BCTGM has. I posted about court proceedings, mainly motion 1113, weeks before the BCTGM website even bothered mentioning it. LOL. When the Bankruptcy was first filed, I called the 1800Hostess number.I flat out said, what is this about? You cannot consider yourself a successful business until you force us into the low quality, low wage, high turnover, legal slavery, poverty stricken workforce business model that the Walton's use faithfully topping Forbes list every year. She just replied, "It will all come out in the wash." So there you have it.

If their is a strike Crazy , the teamsters will honor it as they should but according to Rayburn if their is just the threat of a strike he will liquidate meaning no one will actually hi the picket line, end game, but trust their are many teamsters ashamed of their poor turn out and the resulting count who feel like we have to bow to the bakers for being strong and holding their ground.

'ILL IBC,I spoke with my union he said,he didn't know anything yet, except company was in court9-17 Monday,he didn't know if bankrucpy judge would honor our contract, are make us except the one teamsters voted for. he would be in union meeting in Washington this weekend, and would speak to me next week.trust me I need my lousey,no paying job,but I cant pay bills on this pissy money.I have cut bills as for as I can, working parttime job just to get by,so I know what our fellow employees are going thur.I just have a problem with board members, and ceo taking all the money out of company then expecting us to work for pennys, plus charging us more for less insurance.look at cost of living increase over the past 5 years, our pay is going backwards.luck to all sounds like we need it..

Yes pay will almost be what it was when I started here 27 years ago, good money then not so much now.
If they follow D.O.T rules many wont even be able to work a second job.
To much wrong with this company and nothing in their plan makes for a long term success of it either.
We all need jobs but we also need jobs that pay our bills and that we have pride in.

ILL IBC, Some of us are on the same page. And Crazy, Teamsters defeated Motion 1113, while BCTGM did not even fight it. That motion gives them the discretion to abate our labor contracts. So they have already got that motion aproved, meaning judge ruled in their favor. Now, all they have to do is return to judge with that saying we voted it down and the judge will then allow them to lock us out. So...
