Hey, anti-capitalist pig-how would you like it if conditions destroyed what little business you had going! Small businesses without influence at city hall get nailed when thoughtless bureaucrats make decisions like this story describes.

She dont have cox anymore to cry too. She cried a few years ago when there was nothing there and wanted/demanded revitalization. Well she got it, but not in her favor so she cries to the Sun. Boo Hoo Hoo to you. Move then.

"I play traffic cop all day," Bell said.

Hmmm, isn't impersonating an officer a crime?? Shut your pie hole and be glad the city's doing something to bring consumers to what was otherwise Lowell's version of Skid Row! Now, if only they'd smarten up and relocate the homeless shelter..........

I will never go to that slum part of lowell it is a dangerous area and very filthy. They should of kept it on Chelmsford street there was plenty of room to park for free and it was very nice inside when they fixed it. Bring the RMV back to chelmsford street. thank god I can renew online now its easy and no worries of parking. Wake Up Lowell!

I feel sorry for any of the business' there. They have to deal with the shelter and the Registry. The traffic is horrible and if I have to go to the Registry for my license next year, I will go someplace else. Far be it from Lynch to admit there is a problem ( until those places close and the city loses the tax dollars.) Keeping the Registry in Lowell is one thing- locating it there is just plain stupid.

I don't get it, I've never had a problem parking around there. I'm a member of the club. The parking garage is never full! Do people not know how to use a parking garage? Why would you want to park off-street anyway, in that area you have a good chance of a driveby sideswiping.

I so agree with you, Maggie. I work in the area and use the Early Garage for parking. Since the registry went in, the parking is a nightmare. No one knows where to park, people are stopping traffic in the middle of Middlesex St. to double park. Yet, the garage remains with plenty of spaces b/c people don't want to pay to park to use the registry and I don't blame them! Lynch is never going to admit that parking is terrible or that the relocation to that space was the wrong decision. He is too arrogant for that.

I feel bad for the business/property owners in that area. They have been mainstays for a long time. They constantly have to fight to keep their business prospering while the City keeps dumping their problems on them!

It's become a real nightmare fore the residents in the neighborhood. You cant park anywhere, unless you want a long walk to the garage

Karen Bell is always complaining. Her clients/customers use to park for free for years before the garage was opened and they parked illegally in the then Verizon parking lot. I would assume if they are going to a gym walking a bit should not be an issue.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
