When stories like this appears one must make comparisons between Long Island and other sectors of the country. Very few companies are shielded from this economic downturn. Nevertheless, even though, Long Island big companies are hurting, it's no where near as bad as big companies in California.
And as an added note, the internet bubble burst was in the second quarter of 2000.

I hope you feel the same when they raise your taxes again next year. Afterall, the teachers and administrators want their raises. It's all about the kids.... remember?
