The F-22 Raptor is too much buck for the bang. Its uses are limited. It is of little help in the vast majority of theaters of engagement. Keeping jobs does not justify wasting money. Government waste is government waste.

We need aircraft that work in our current theaters because this will be the vast majority of what we will be doing. Skip buying more F-22's and move on to the F-35, which has more bang for the buck.

INVEST IN INFRASTRUCTURE TO CREATE AMERICAN JOBS.....NOT OVERPRICED JET FIGHTERS TO FILL COFFERS OF DEFENSE CONTRACTORS!!!! THESE DEFENSE CONTRACTORS ARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST REASONS WE ARE SO IN DEBT IN THE 1ST PLACE. NO MORE MONEY FOR F-22 RAPTOR.

Natioanl security is the fundamental reason for national government. Therefore, the F-22 program is something our representatives should seriously consider continuing. The military learned from WII how dangerous it is for the US to not be cutting edge. Therefore, our representatives should be even more serious about continuing this program.

Conservative, I know you are just parroting what you've heard a million times on your AM radio and such.

But really, do you know who uses what?
Like I said, many active duty personnels' families use these federal programs. As do veterans. Many who do this are in rural, white communities. Many people in rural winter frozen regions like throughout the north, who farm or work outside in the regular seasons depend on federal assistance in the winter months.

Even the most hardy lumberjack in Montana, if he can't work for a time during the winter, ecspecially since there are so many illegal immigrants taking small jobs, then he's depending on some food stamps to pass through a month or 2.

Rush Limbaugh making 38 million a year doesnt give a crap about any of them, but the federal government is at least around. Kill all that off and what are you gonna have?

Have you heard about the Meth plague spreading across America? Or more and more folks growing and selling pot to get a second income?

You gotta slay the dragons before you start thumping the peasants.

There are numerous reasons we won the Cold War. One of those reasons was the technological advantage the USA developed in weapons and space systems over the PINKO COMMUNISTS RUSKIES. Sure, in this new millenium, the enemy is different and we need to develop new solutions. The PINKO COMMUNIST Chinesse are pouring a lot of money and performing a lot of espianoge to develop defense and space systems. We also need to develop solutions for the enemy we don't know of yet.

As the USA, we cannot afford to cut back on military spending, become complacent, and let the PINKO COMMUNIST CHINESSE or any other group leapfrog the USA.

I would rather have our tax dollars used to develop technologies to defend our nation from our enemies, forgein and domestic, employee highly skilled scientists, engineers, and technicians, and uphold freedom and democracy, over giving people who made poor life choices a handout.

You're so full of crap that the TOPIX board is handing out free CHARMIN.

You want to bankrupt the "Chinesse ?" MAKE THEM SPEND THEIR OWN MONEY TO DEVELOP GENERATION 5 SYSTEMS, INSTEAD OF BRIBING OR STEALING THEM FROM US FOR NOTHING !!

Well, you certainly SPELL like an engineer .... I'll believe you're a NASA engineer when you can tell me HOW MANY FEET ARE IN A KILOGRAM !

If you want to support an industry that employees and develops skilled, motivated, and intelligent American citizens, support NASA and Department of Defense programs. The technologies and solutions they develop will save the lives of our troops and minimize civilian casualties.

I agree that the F22 may not be the system that will help us in fighting Al Qaeda in the caves of Afghanistan, but Lockheed's Predator Drones sure have been helpful. The F22 will be more useful vs a conventional enemy.

For those government officials and contractors who are corrupt to sell this technology to PINKO COMMUNISTS, TERRORISTS, and other rouge nations, they are committing TREASON.

I do not agree with using tax dollars to give handouts for people who lacked the basic math skills to balance a checkbook or only have job skills that come with a high school diploma.

Shut up already about America loosing around the world. America isn't dying from loss of air superiority.
Patrick, Dick Cheney didn't originate that idea. Machiavelli did, noting that being 'feared', which includes respect, is more important than being loved.
Warmongering GOPers have sunk America far below both 'respect' and 'love' by American adversaries.
Lockheed needs to do something for America, like how about a hybrid engine that gets 100 mpg?
How about develeoping technology so auto engines can be converted to gas, electric, or other hybridized options for a cheap price?
America can go a year without the next new F series edition.
"Air Power has achieved it's finest goal if it never has to be used." That qoute means that just the threat of Air power is enough to keep an someone at bay. If America losses it's air superiority it will never win another war.

The F-35 has no where near the Air to Air fighting skills that the F-22 has. The 22 is faster, stealthier, flies higher, and is more manuvrable.(I know I spelt the last word wrong)

So this "New Admin" is trying to create jobs??? Here is an easy way to keep people working and they thumbed their nose at it???
Maybe their isn't enough money for the "Banks" if we accept the request of our Military. We will see what comes of this job creation theory.

Considering how close L M and the A F are, why not just make it a part of the A F?
