When the taxpayers have been repaid by all the companies that took bailouts, we can see if it is affordable.

This whole situation is a great example of how fools in charge can exacerbate a serious situation into a potentially fatal one by making one wrong decision after another and by bringing in one incapable, ignorant person after another into important positions to further make things even worse than they were before.

Geithner is an expert alright. A "former drip under pressure" who was an expert for five years criminally failing to pay his own taxes, and now Obama puts him in charge of the entire country's tax collection agency? We are supposed to trust and have faith in his decisions? What a G*D cruel joke both these fools are.

God above, I swear, I saw George W. throwing out the first pitch on TV yesterday on TV and I almost wept thinking that with all his faults, and he did have faults, and his party had faults, that I felt so much more secure and safe and trusting with them in power than I do now with this floundering amateur hour bunch we have today trying to find their backside with both hands and a flashlight? I don't think I'm alone.

We should keep some of them and also maintain the ability to build more is necessary. However, America is being destroyed from the INSIDE far quicker than it will ever be destroyed from the outside. The things destroying us is the tyranny of a liberal (and yes, wicked) judiciary, homosexuality, perversion, greed (AIG bonuses with our tax money is just one example) and every other form of wickedness.)

Decreasing the size of government and government spending on defense is going to upset Republicans. Now they are going to have to rally to cut social security and food stamps for the poor.

Great news...This country will never fall because of a military invasion...It will fall due to it's social programs. "You can only have so many pigs at the trough". I look for an illegal Mexican to be our next president.

I'm sure you were railing against Rummy too, when his big pre-911 thing was to reform the military toa leaner, less Cold War boondoggled (or at least differently boondoggled)outfit.

I have no doubt at all.

Dear Liberal Bashers,

The Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, was a Bush appointee. He is the one that made all of these decisions. The same SECDEF that has been heralded everywhere for the way that he has handled the wars since he took over for Rumsfeld.

Go fight in one of BUSH's wars they are only costing $380 million a day, not bad for a broke stupid nation like the USA

If you are fine as a taxpayer with paying to defend the world from itself, that does not mean that hundreds of millions of other American taxpayers are fine with it.

We are so weak and disabled now, aren't we?
We are if we have presidents that throw us into every conflict around the world, and cost American Taxpayes $trillions of dollars.

5,000,000 people are unemployed in the last year, so don't mind them if they don't shed a tear for an airplane that AMERICAN taxpayers paid for, to the tune of $300 million per plane...

Stop your exaggerating like most liberals. The cost of the planes are between 125-130 million. Still too expensive but hey they fly.

I work in the industry right here in Orlando so I have a perspective that the loadmouth rednecks and rascists posting on here do not. Everyday I see poor decisions made by incompetant people that waste millions and millions of dollars. Fact is, there is a lot of dead weight in this industry, and as a whole this industry is starting to fall behind the times very similar to our auto industry. We do NOT want this to happen with our nation's defense!

Cutting the dead weight, increasing efficieny and focusing on new and emerging warfare technologies is crucial to our national defense. We now have an administration smart enough to realize this and bold enough to make tough choices.
