We had moved to community a few years before the strike, the Hormel employees that had worked for the corporation had been very proud to be part of hormel and the community! you could see by the generations of families that worked at the plant.
BIG changes for a community when the "NEW" corporated team was put in place to make changes to the plant, was it worth hiring illegal immigrants, for the profit sharers! I guess we have all become greedy to make big profits, so everyone at the top makes money! big money / big government.... but we all still love Austin!
