I can believe that thee city council is really considering taking all the funding from the nature center. I would rather see the new prison lose funding than the nature center.

Charge an entry fee.
If its costing over a quarter million dollars a year to operate and only a few thousand people use it than it needs to be closed down.
($300,000)/(6,000 people a year)=$50.00 / person

Spud the nature center rents out its buildings for weddings board meetings school events and so on to make money so if you dont live in this town dont be telling us we should charge an entrance fee or shut it down worry about your own town not ours
