TaxCut software

Used this software for '06. Tax owed computed by program was WRONG! Had to pay interest but IRS was considerate of problem and did not penalize.

Did you purchase the taxcut software yourself? If so, you should be able to get H&R block to reimberse you the interest if the fault was a calculation error. Could you provide details as to what the IRS sent indicating there was a problem?

Also, just for my knowldege, when in the tax season did you file? As I've leared the past few years, tax softare is constantly updated and corrected during the tax season as bugs and errors are discovered. I've come to the conlcusion generally you're better to wait till March or April if you have a complex return.

i filed my taxes online using hrblock,,irs. released my money,,6000.00 and hr block tax cut can not tell me where my money is at,,i am a little pissed off. i will never do this agin and will not refer them to anyone.

judy i am having the same issue.... hr block bank has my money (emerald card) i spoke with the irs and they told me the funds were releases yesterday ... yet NOBODY (none of the 15 people so far that I have spoke to) can tell me where my money is.... I am more than a little pissed off... hr block has 5000 of MY money and nobody can find it...

Me too I'm expecting 5,000 and they won't even give me the number to the hsbc bank that they use.

nope they keep giving me the same b.s. The bank told me that they don't have any info on me.

well, i just got off the phone with taxcut and they said they dont deal with hsbc any longer and my money should be posted to my account today as well.I sure in the hell hope so cause i need it.

I thought hr block use there own bank now, not HSBC?

i wish i would have paid more attention when i was doing my taxes. They kinda railroaded me into that simple pay bullcrap. I had the money on my card right in front of me. One click, and they went right into the proceedings.

They should have stuck with HSBC, we wouldn't be going through this bull, Block just trying to do too much and can't handle it.

I'm on the phone with them now...they claim they are having problems with the posting process...yeah right...

update... i spoke with somebody in the federal treasury department... this actually isnt hr block banks fault... you can blame this one on the treasury dept... they had a glitch in their software fri which caused alot of refunds to be delayed... when it reached the bank it was missing the last number of the account number...causing the banks to reject the deposit and send it back to the treasury... they assured me that this problem had been corrected and as soon as they got the funds back the banks they would turn it right back around and re-deposit it with the correct account...

Ok...I spokw with tax cut this morning and they informed me that they do have my deposit from the IRS and it takes 1-3 business days before it will hit my emerald card. They have to take out their payment before they release it to the customer. After tomorrow...I may have to get UGLY!...LOL

What payment does Tax Cut need to take out? I don't get it. I prepaid my tax prep fees and I didn't take a loan out, so my money should have posted to my card by now. Nobody should have to wait 1-3 days to get money that should already be there.
