HR Block Bank Direct Deposit and Emerald Pre paid Mastercard

I tried to pay off my balance by mail. They have not processed the payment I sent over one month ago and send me a statement charging me more interest! Who is allowing this mafia type company to continue with their ways? I am going to the Attorney General. I experience many of the other problems last year when I had the money from my return put on a card and could not pay my bills w/ my won money from the IRS! They lied about me being able to put it all in my bank account, why now will they not cash my payment? Where is the Federal Government with this company in their prectices? I can see many kind words being written by HR Block employees. After waiting 1 hr, I got hung up on........

I took out an emerald advance loan with h and r block. I filed my taxes with h and r block, so now my loan was paid off right??? Wrong! The received a statement in the mail for $18.75 because they say that they had to wait on the irs to send them their money. If I know that they were going to bullshit around I would have never used them. I have been a loyal customer for 14 years. Year after year I have let them file taxes for me, but after this shit I will be looking for another tax preperation company. I am getting the feeling that I am being ripped off.

i was told that when you have your paycheck direct deposited to the emrald card you would be given a 300.00 line of credit. not true i have been on hold for 3 hours with customer service been hung up on several times everyone you talk to tells you something different not to mention they are very rude, i was told the line of credit would be avaliable the next day after i called that was in february still have not recieved it said i didnt quilify. anyone eles had this problem?

i was ignorant enough to get the card too. i put $300 on my card and the rest sent to me via check. i have recieved my check but not the amount supposed to be on the card. they keep telling me to wait it will show up eventually. it wouldnt bother me so much if the h&r rep that prepared my taxes didnt tell me that the funds would be available as soon as i pick up my check. the only reason i got the card was to pay bills online without giving bank info out on the web and i still get screwed anyway... thanks a ton h&r!!!!! a very pissed off mom!

I have had my emerald card for over a year. I haven't had any problems with my card. It took less than 10 days to receive my personalized card. I think the emerald card is great

My understanding is that if you paid up front and had the IRS directly deposit to the card, then the stimulus will be directly deposited to the card as well.

If, however, you had a Refund Loan or a Refund Check (where the tax prepaer's fees were taken out of the refund directly) then you'll recieve the payment as an IRS check.

I was told by a block rep that my rebate would automaticly go on my emerald card without filling out any paper work is this correct

I went to get my taxes done at a local HR Block In modesto,CA. Last year I was charged 189.00.

This year it jumped to 483.00. I questioned it and was told that I am paying for the premuim office enviroment. I told them Iam taking mt taxes done somewhere else and I did. Never again I am going to use HR block or recomend to anyone.

you can reload it at western union or green dot. there is a small fee to reload the cards but it can be done. you should be able to get the info from your local H and R Block abnout how to reload . Thanks for being and H and R Block client.

If your refund went on the emerald card then you stimulus payment will be sent to you by a check. It depends on what the last 2 digits of the taxpayers ss #is on when it will be mailed. Thanks for being an H and R Block Client!

I had no problem at first with my card when it came to the tax money I received. I received a new card for some reason a few weeks ago in the mail and I activated it, ever since then i tried to sign on their website and it says this :

"The status on your card does not permit access to this website. Please contact the institution shown on the card for assistance"

Ok so I try calling the number on the back of my card and checking my balance that way and it says the same thing

So I connect to the help line and they sound like robots and were no help at all. She directed me to a answering thing that said my balance and when I asked her why I couldn't check it myself she said let me have your e-mail address and I will send you the information to fix the problem your having. I had to repeat my email address 3 times and they sent me a thing to create a new card account which is not what I said i needed. These people are no help at all and I am glad I only had $5 dollars sent to that account via paypal (which is not there, they say I have 30 cents in my account) this should make the news so people are aware!
