No one said that you had to flaunt it like you were better than the world. Yeah Yeah I know the visa commercial, flaunt it if you got it i guess. My traffic tickets alone equal double that debt, and my agi is EXTREMELY low. lets just say I work in a very hostile and stressful work environment that doesnt pay nearly what it is worth.

<quoted text>Bri, I think you are making a distinction between Rich and Wannabe Rich. The people who have the credit cards, gold toliet's, or spend 7 grand on shoes, aren't rich, they just have credit. Usually up to their eyeballs in debt. Having a good income and trying to show it off to anyone that will look isn't a sign of wealth, it's a sign of an ego problem. You probably wouldn't even recognize the real rich or wealthy or well-off. They are driving 5 year old cars, living in blue jeans and t-shirts, and living in the same house that is paid for and has served them well for 10 or 20 years and no, you won't find a credit card in their wallet or purse.
Yeah that might be the sign of rich, but it doesnt mean that they have any less of an ego problem. Trust me I know. My mom married a lawyer and likes to go around bragging about the "allowance" he gives her in a month. Yeah what he gives her in a month. Yeah they don't live in a mansion, but what they drive or where they live doesnt make them as a person.

Ok the fear factor is out again. When does the government do anything right? The only thing we have to fear is the government. Been wondering another thing. If the government does drug testing and the government paid reports says ALL drugs make ya stupid then how come we have some of the stupidist laziest people working for the government?
Because they are democrats sucking the tax payer. Why do you think they invented ADC FOR THE LAZY, so the democrats don't feel so guilty.

ANOTHER good point from you.
too many times I dont think before I post.
I know what you say to be true, I had a uncle, we thought he was skid row poor, until he passed and the will was read, when they said anything about a will, we were a bit confused.
I thought about it after I posted it, most rich people, their money makes money.
I still think that a lot of rich people spend money pretty crazy, who needs a gold toilet?
in the GUEST bathroom?
I understand what your saying completely though, as I said, another good point from you..
Thank you..

Acutally, the government should make a living math course a mandatory class for all high school students.
I've seen a whole lot of baby boomers come through my office that have no retirement plans, no savings accounts, and are still mad that credit card interest isn't deductible. It doesn't matter how much people make, way too many live beyond their means.
You only need to look at the wide selection of the prices for homes in foreclosure to understand that this problem exists across such a wide spectrum.
As far as Refund Anticipation Loans or the ever popular Payday Loans goes. PT Barnum was right when he said that fools and their money shall soon part.
what do you do when the teachers that teach this math don't even know it them self.
I don't understand it, my daughter was failing it, I sat in the class and the teacher admitted that she was at a loss, it was a new style of math and they didn't know what to do...
now, that was last year, they have done a lot better this year, but they are changing the math, from what we once knew it to be.
I think that is a great suggestion...
I just don't understand why they even made a new type of math to begin with.

Any woman who takes an allowance from her husband is no more than a ,,,,,,,,,. The work a woman does around the home if paid while a husband is at work is priceless. The man isnt worth having period,he has a slave not a wife.Shes not happy shes nuts,or lazy.

Conspicuos consumption means very little, if anything in regards to the wealth of the person. Sam Walton lived in a ranch house in a typical subdivision and drove a 10 year old pickup truck. He was just as likely to be wearing jeans and a flannel shirt as a suit. And I think everyone knows how rich he was!
My wife asked me one time how the people she worked with could afford the new house, new car, boat, and camper. I told her to wait till the next business slowdown that killed overtime. BINGO!! The amount of stuff up for sale was unreal! The banks owned it all.
