HELCO has a license to steal, and it is a viscous circle. The more you save/conserve..the more you will end up paying for unit of energy because their profits are guaranteed. They pretend to cost-cut but it is all B.S. and a game they play. Go Solar and all that stuff...send these turkeys back to their caves.

Another example of why this utility company needs to be put out of business for good. Alternative energy options can't happen soon enough to put an end to this shibai. "Buy energy efficient appliances" and save (what they don't say is until they jack it up for the savings you temporarily realized and the loss of profits they realized).
I know I'm one of thousands who did the supposed right thing only to be penalized time and time again with rate increases. Nuff is ENUFF!

The organization is too heavy and the island of Oahu is stuck footing the bill. If they had competitors or weren't able to raise their rates, you would see an analysis of their expense structure to include staffing. Perhaps before allowing HECO to raise rates, the regulators should ask for a justification of their expenses to see if they could be running more efficiently.

Don't talk too loud, HECO will cause a black out like they did many times before and say it was caused by a natural event but everyone knows they do that to increase rates so they can continue to receive 300% higher salaries then comparable jobs.
They got us by the coconuts. Where else can a monopoly like this extort from their citizens!

HECO is legal organized crime. They do the same things as the Mafia, extort money for their services and protection. What would we do without electricity?

You should read their stock perpective see wee how much all their executive make and the perks they receive. Only then you'll know why they keep asking for a rate increase. WE'RE all supporting their high class life style !!!!
