You Union guys make me laugh. To dumb to realize the big union stewards and bosses could give a crap about ya. Let em move to somewhere people would appreciate a paycheck, not demand one.

with the economy the way it is and the the fact thatHarley parts arent Harley parts anymore or how itsold out on its employees Iwouldnt work there nor will I ever buy another Harley. I highly encourage all of you to do the same. Your only feeding greedy people. N I havent nor do I work there. Until they start bringing there stuff back to "American Made" and the price becomes more reasonable give its origina employees some justice than I may consider buying a brand new Bike, Just sayin

A companys best assets are its happy, well trained, long term employees. Henry Ford even knew this.

Harley is willing to lose the people that can help them and save them the most money with its strong arm tactics.

Good luck Harley we'll see if you're around later after cutting your main arteries

Willie G. where are you!!!

You're letting the new management ruin your great family name.

You're letting them push you and your family out of the great iconic business your family has run with dignity for a hundred years into positions with little power or say over the actual production of the jewels called Harley-Davidson.

You know the workers, Willie, and you know your long term dedicated workers would be there to insure that Harley is always around. They would work for free, if necessary, to take care of the great company that takes care of them. It's "family" taking care of "family".

Don't listen to your upper management, go talk to the people on the floor at each factory yourself and see how they feel after the last several months of pitting factory against factory and playing games with workers families and lives. Those strong arm tactics weren't necessary against your workers that truely love and live Harley.

Your new workers won't care and it will show in their attitude and work. Much like your new upper management they will only care about themselves and will suck as much money out of Harley as possible for themselves then leave the company to flounder and die.

Willie, read the blogs, talk to your customers, talk to your workers, the word is out that Harley can't be trusted anymore by it's workers or the communities they are involved with.

Find out why this is happening. Find out why all your upper managers aren't taking any major concessions.

Don't let them ruin the trust and pride that Harley-Davidson stands for!!!

This isn't the legacy you want nor deserve to leave for your family.

Workers like you are the REASON why Harley needs to cut costs. Surfing the Internet while at work is just like stealing from the company. Your server is in Milwaukee, dumb ass. OH WAIT, I forgot about corporate greed that is ruining the company, but what about employees who are getting paid to do nothing but waste time.

Just wondering:

Have the upper executives taken cuts in pay, benefits, perks, or stock options??

It seems most of the restructuring at all the plants involves pay, benefit, and job cuts to the workers at the plants that are directly involved in producing the motorcycles.

At the same time I read that Harley has added many more heads and levels in upper management such as Directors, Managers, and Vice Presidents at very high salaries. This is true overhead not actually involved in directly producing the product.

Are they taking equal or greater cuts at the higher levels to lead by example and show all their employees and stock holders that they truely are striving to restructure for the future??

Couldn't they also use temporary workers to fill needed positions at their level and/or outsource their work at a lower pay scale as needed??

After all, I think anyone should be able to do an excellent job and live very well and provide all the needs for their families on $200k to $400k a year. The CEO could even get $1 million a year max.

But, I read they are making much more then that in salary, stock, and other perks all affecting the company's bottom line and the amount available to reinvest back into the company to increase productivity and profitability.

It seems like, if this is true, they are sending a very mixed message to their employees which will impact morale, productivity, and quality. All of which can greatly reduce sales and customer satisfaction.

Just wondering..........
