Dont get sick at my store

A coworker had a problem breathing last week and the managers did not even help her. She had to sit in front of the store and wait for her husband to take her to the hospital. Not certain what happened to her but know that she spent the night in the hospital. Nothing like getting kicked to the curb! She is well liked too hate to think how the ones they are always ragging on would get treated. What is your store protocol if an employee is having a medical condition like this? From what we hear it was heart attack symptoms.

The Store needs to file a report with corp if a aumblance is called to the store...Managers avoid calling medical and sometimes have other associate drive them to the hospital

Managers did not talk or see her even though they knew what was going on. One told co-worker to take her to hospital another said they could not because of liability. Imagine the paperwork then if this had not turned out well.

Thats an odd situation because management can call an ambulance on an associates behalf without it being a medical claim against the store. If an associate chooses to drive another associate to the hospital they would have to punch off the clock for liability reasons.
